Professional Experience

I have been a clinical psychologist since 2002, with more than two decades of experience providing long-term psychotherapy in my private practice with adolescents and adults. Throughout my years in practice, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, questions of identity, and major life transitions.

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. I believe therapy offers an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself—your emotions, your patterns of relating, and the ways past experiences may continue to influence your life today. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where patients can feel understood, explore their inner worlds, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

My clinical work has been shaped by extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, and I am currently engaged in advanced psychoanalytic training. This intensive training continues to deepen my understanding of how early relationships, unconscious patterns, and emotional experiences shape the way we understand ourselves and connect with others. It continues to inform and enrich my work with patients as they seek greater self-awareness and emotional growth.

Alongside my private practice, I have served as a clinical supervisor and mentor to developing clinicians at The Meltzer Center at George Washington University and the Saturday Center for Psychotherapy. Earlier in my career, I gained additional experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in a variety of clinical settings, including the treatment of eating disorders and significant emotional and developmental challenges.

After more than two decades of private practice, clinical supervision, and ongoing psychoanalytic training, I remain deeply committed to understanding each person’s unique emotional world.
